Krudar

Krudar is a Duros gunner that joined the Farstar crew to see more of the Kathol sector and use his gunnery skills. He wears the helmet and blast vest of an Imperial gunner that he found dead during a boarding action several years ago. The vest is decorated with small red metal studs in neat rows that represent each starship kill.

Most of Krudar's history is unknown. His companion, Boom, appears to have spent a considerable amount of time with him, but he is not talking about Krudar's past, either. Actually, Krudar spent some time as a gunner aboard a Rebel Nebulon-B frigate but became dissatisfied with the goals of freedom and justice that the Rebellion preached, thinking it as a justification for their own atrocities during the war against the Empire. He finally jumped ship and joined a band of pirates for quicker rewards. Krudar met and befriended Boom while serving with the pirates. His time with the pirates continued until Imperial forces destroyed the band, forcing the two to wander the Outer Rim Territories for a while, serving as starship gunners on several smuggling freighters, until they recently arrived on Kal'Shebbol to lie low for a while.

Krudar spends a lot of his time with the turbolasers, standing ready for duty or making sure they are in peak condition. He does not speak very much, but he does translate for Boom, when necessary.
