Acclamator-class Assault Ship
24 May 2002
Author: Moridin
Source: Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
Designed by Rothana Heavy Engineering, the Acclamator-class Assault ship is the largest ship in the newly-created Republic Navy. Designed specifically to carry the clonetroopers and their support craft (such as Republic Gunships and AT-TEs), the Acclamator is only used to make short hyperspace jumps into staging areas, though they can be used to travel the breadth of the galaxy if needed. Unlike future ships of the Empire based on this design, the Acclamator has powerful engines and repulsors and can actully land and travel within an atmosphere. The Acclamator is far more than a simple transport ship; it boasts a considerable armament capable of delivering a devastaring assault on any ships it comes up against. The success of the Acclamator following the Battle of Geonosis prompted Rothana Heavy Engineering to design newer, larger, and more powerful ships, which would eventually evolve into the Star Destroyers created by Rothana's parent company, Kuat Drive Yards.

NOTE: See the Revised Core Rulebook, page 234 for d20 stats.

Garan
I am aware this is a direct conversion from previous material, but the Cross-Sections book tells us the Acclamator has a .6x hyperdrive, and they give us a 2x in the RPG....any light on this?[/ [ . . . ]
OneWingedAngelVII
And number of passengers... it's risky, even ISD carry less troops. Loosing such transport ( and it happens: hence Assault in its name ) would mean loosing 16.000 troops without fight.
[ . . . ]
