Credit Line -- Wealth Rules for Star Wars d20d20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 5 January 2004 at 08:57 AM d20 Content Update
This article provides rules for using the Wealth rules from d20 Modern in other d20 system games (specifically Star Wars, but it has all necessary information to adapt these rules to any d20 game). Originally something developed for my own campaign, I realized that other d20 Modern fans may want to adapt those rules to their SWRPG games. Enjoy!

Second Printing Updatesd20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 23 December 2003 at 10:35 PM d20 Content Update
All starships have been updated to conform to rules changes found in the 2nd printing of the Revised Core Rulebook, including:

  • DR for Shields and Hull has been doubled
  • "Range Modifier" has been changed to "Max Range"
  • The space speed of transports has been changed to fit the fact that the stock YT-1300 and the Millenium Falcon both have the same speed. Basically, most space transports will have a speed of Attack (8 squares/action) unless their WEG stats had a Space speed of less than 4 or greater than 8.

Also, I fixed up a few odds and ends here and there. Enjoy!

Almost there! Again, this has gone slower than anticipated (I had to go back to every single original source for all the starship conversions), but I'm getting close. Here's what I've finished this time: Personal Equipment, Vehicle/Starship Equipment, Feats, Force Skills, Capital Ships, Space Transports, Starfighters, and Other Starships.

The Next Big Thingd20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 13 May 2002 at 12:17 PM d20 Content Update
Now that the Revised Core Rulebook is out, I'm going to be updating all the d20 content on SWRPGNetwork Conversions. That's right ... every single entry is going to get inspected by your friendly neighborhood conversions man to bring it up to code.

I know what you're thinking: "Doesn't this guy have a life?" Unfortunately, yes, which is why I've been a little short on the new content this year. Working on a PhD, getting "The Sharpshooter" published in Gamer #10, consoling Moridin when my name accidentally got put on "The Medic", planning my trip to Gen Con, pre-paying for my trip to Gen Con, selling a kidney to pay for trip to Gen Con, and grading tests by students who never should have made it as far as college, etc., takes up a lot of time. But I am here and I plan on making it up to you, our loyal patrons, who so graciously look at our free stuff and then decide you can do better and head over to SWRPGNetwork Submissions.

Just kidding ... I hope! :-)

A few more things that no well-prepared soldier would be without: Bayonets, vibrobayonets, and smoke grenades. Bayonets and vibrobayonets let you use your blaster rifle as a spear so you can engage in melee without wasting the time to draw another weapon. Smoke grenades, on the other hand, are a great way to get out of trouble when you're a little outnumbered and in need of some concealment.

Tempest Feud replaces some entriesd20 Content Update
Posted by on 18 March 2002 at 12:18 AM d20 Content Update
Tempest Feud is out and it replaces a few entries we had in our database for the Corporate Sector Authority: Authority IRD starfighter (pp.121-122), Etti Lighter (p.122), and Invincible-class Heavy Cruiser (see Resolute, p.122). It also has some more stats for Corporate Sector Authority personnel (CSA Troopers, CSA Sergeants, and CSA Liaison Officers), so in addition to providing plenty of information to run a campaign in Hutt Space it gives you lots of good info for the Corporate Sector.

Long Arms of the Law: Sector Rangers and Special Enforcement Officersd20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 18 February 2002 at 03:59 PM d20 Content Update
I've updated this conversion using the Sector Ranger prestige class in Star Wars Gamer #8, pp.106-107. Also, I've added stats for Special Enforcement Officers (SEOs), highly experienced Sector Rangers empowered to cross sector boundaries in pursuit of criminals. Two favorite Sector Ranger starships, the Law-class Patrol Craft and the PB-950 Patrol Boat, are included as well. Sector Rangers fit into almost any campaigns, whether as heroes, villains, or just supporting cast.

Fists of Iron: Martial Arts from Rules of Engagement Converted to d20d20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 10 February 2002 at 08:27 AM d20 Content Update
You know you want it. Martial arts feats. Tons of 'em. I've gone through the martial arts rules from Rules of Engagement: The Rebel SpecForce Handbook and converted it all to the d20 system.

If you're using the Master Martial Artist prestige class, you can may integrate these feats into your game and create a more flexible prestige class. Remove Lightning Fists, Foot Sweep, Flying Kick, Defensive Throw, Choke Hold, and Improved Critical special abilities. At 1st level, you gain the Multiple Strikes feat for free. On every even level (2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th), you may choose one bonus martial arts feat from the link below.

Feedback is welcome and I'm sure some of you will think of better ways to translate some of the martial arts techniques, so take a look and let us know what you think!

A New Look ... and Dead Linksd20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 8 February 2002 at 07:20 PM d20 Content Update
Welcome to the new SWRPGNetwork Conversions. Some of you may have noticed that a lot of news posts that were previously on the site were not carried over to this new page ... sorry about that, it was a complication that couldn't really be avoided. On top of that, some of the posts below ("And what did Santa leave under your tree, Mr. Fett?") have incorrect or dead links, and some technical difficulties are preventing us from deleting them.

So, if you want to find all the current armor conversions for d20, follow the link below. We'll try to get things in order as soon as possible.

How do you deal with someone who knows to much? Try this on for size: Memory Wipe is a new use for the Drain Memory skill in The Dark Side Sourcebook. It is based on the Force power Memory Wipe found in Tales of the Jedi Companion by West End Games. Imaginative GMs will think of all sorts of scenarios that can be built around a party of PCs who have portions of their memory erased, so read and enjoy!

Most of the remaining vehicles are from from The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook.

These stats are usuable for any period between the Bakura Incident (from The Truce at Bakura) until the Hapan Cluster Incident (from The Courtship of Princess Leia), including the period detailed in the X-wing series of novels.

Artillery: Call in the Big Guns (part two)d20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 17 July 2001 at 02:43 PM d20 Content Update
Continuing our coverage of artillery last week, today's conversions focus on the Golan Arms DF .9 anti-infantry battery, its variants (the Twin DF .9 and the SP .9), and its precursor (the C/AF .9). The DF .9 is the turreted tower-like artillery piece used by the Rebels at the Battle of Hoth.

Gallandro: "... to judge the quick and the dead."d20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 12 July 2001 at 06:12 PM d20 Content Update
The legendary gunslinger known as Gallandro has been a mercenary, bodyguard, bounty hunter, and hired killer ... and his lightning-fast quick draw and deadly accuracy make him most efficient at this last role. He has killed more people than most have met in their entire lives, even bloodying the Assassin's Guild itself during a feud. He had settled down to a hard-earned good life in the Corporate Sector when a young punk named Han Solo happened to cross his path ...

Spacetroopers: "In space, no one can hear you scream ..."d20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 11 July 2001 at 03:54 PM d20 Content Update
Spacetroopers are one of the more elite stormtrooper units, specializing in boarding hostile targets while under fire. Carried through the thick of battle in a Gamma-class assault shuttle, an entire platoon of Zero-G Assault Stormtroopers -- armored like a mountain and armed with more firepower than an infantry squad -- swarms over the target, slicing through its hull and taking control before its crew is fully aware of the danger. Almost every Imperial Star Destroyer carries a platoon of Spacetroopers, so be afraid ... be very afraid.

Artillery: Call in the Big Guns (part one)d20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 11 July 2001 at 05:30 AM d20 Content Update
Today's conversions are the first part of our artillery conversions, featuring four pieces found in the Imperial Sourcebook. Two of these weapons, the Light Anti-Vehicle Cannon and the Anti-Orbital Ion Cannon, were used by Rebels at the Battle of Hoth.

"Shields Up!" New vehicle and starship shield equipmentd20 Content Update
Posted by GM Sarli on 9 July 2001 at 09:39 AM d20 Content Update
Today's conversions are particle shields (standard equipment in WEG's SWRPG) and static power buffers (introduced in WEG's Far Orbit Project). Particle shields increase the DR of a vessel against attacks but must be lowered to launch missiles, torpedoes, starfighters, etc. Static power buffers allow a shield operator to increase the longevity of a vessel's shields by shunting damage away from the shield generators. Together, these items greatly increase the survivability of starships and vehicles, and you may consider making them standard equipment in your campaign.

Here are the stats for Rebel Infiltrators as well as some silent or compact weapons that they are known to use.
